Visit to KLCC skybridge n KL lake garden

Yesterday, i had guest, Yann, around. Yann was a guy, French name. I know the name sounds like female. Well. I learned that there was a word, froggy used to call and insult French. Reason was French ate frog. Ok, no offense. =) He's a nice person to hang out with. He came to me with the plan to visit KL lake garden that he referred to lonely planet guidebook. I didn't know that we had park in KL. haha. So, we had went to there in the afternoon.

Apart from visiting Lake garden, i added in KLCC skybridge. He didn't know we can visit the sky bridge for free. ya but we had to line up for the free ticket early in the morning. Yeah, we made it at 7.45am. Huh, the ticket counter opened at 8.30am. It took us 2 hours plus in the line. We saw the ugly side of one thoughtless and impatient woman nagging around. =.="

We took the 10.45am tickets.

This one was a cool one. credit to me. haha.

We ordered KFC breakfast meal and took away to eat outside KLCC. I dont like KFC breakfast. Oh shit! I saw the workers were cleaning the pool and the fountains were not on. You know, fountains gave magnificent view from the skybridge. Sure the pictures taken later up there in skybridge won't look perfect. This was the limitation and my recommendation would be, it's better to get a afternoon tickets. Please be noted that skybridge would close on every Monday.

You could see a huge backpack there. It belonged to Yann. Later he was going to stay at my dorm. Next day, today, he'll ride bus to Georgetown.

The exhibition hall demonstrated how the Tesla coils on the twins tower function. They countered lighting. Cool!!

huhu! Inside the lift, we could see so many levels. Here i had the quick facts:
Number of storeys: 88
Height of each tower: 452m above street level
Length of Skybridge: 58.4m
Height of Skybridge (level 41 from street level): 170m
Lifts: 29 double-decker high speed passenger lifts in each tower (speed is between 3.5m/s and 6.0m/s)
Stairs: 765 flights
Total built-up area: 395, 000 sq metres
Weight per tower: 300, 000 tons
The construction was completed in 1996

Skybridge was double-decked. Above, I think there is another crossing at the 42rd floor. We were only allowed to be here for 10 mins. So short!

the ground floor ^^ This is the front.

This is the hind yard. You can see that the fountains were not on :(

This one is us on the skybridge. Big faces =.="

Walking from KLCC to Bukit Nanas Monorail station was not far, but pity Yann had to carry his heavy backpack along. The backapack was like 140 Liter and fully loaded. You coould see how heavy it was from the posture he carried it ^^"

Done he put down his backpack at my dorm, straight we went to lake garden. We began at Plaza Rakyat LRT station. Long way we walked to National Mosque. Surprised Yann when there was a friendly local guy smiled at Yann with "Halo! I love u" spontaneously coming out from his lips. Nice!! We assumed he only knew these words in English, but he had given us best impression ^^

Story. Ya! Yann had traveled with a German guy to Tioman Island before coming here in KL. This German had his round-the-world trip. Yann learned that he could start collecting country flag badge at each country he visited and later stitch all of them onto his backpack. Yea. I should do the same as well :) Work hard!!!!

This was in front of National Mosque. These clocks were not international time. There were praying 7 times per day at the different hours showed it the 7 not moving small clocks in the picture.

Yann had his twins in front of the National Mosque. haha.

This is National Islamic Art Museum at lake garden area.

This fellow named mouse deer. You will know why they are called mouse deer when u see them. They were tiny in size. We saw few mouse deer at mouse deer and deer mini-zoo at lake garden.

Well. This fellow named Elf. They love nature so much and they have become part of the plants. This one is ripe. JK. this thing is the ?flower of ?palm kinna tree. I saw this for first time. Yann used to have it as broom back in Australia.

This is hibiscus, national flower. It was taken at National Museum. I just realized museum was next to KL lake garden. The lake garden was real big. There were Planetarium, National Monument, Parliament, Islamic Art Museum, Orchid Garden (MYR 1 per entry. So, dont miss it, but we had walked pass it and far to return. Skipped.), Bird Park, Butterfly farm, Mouse deer & deer (free entry) etc. playground, and lake for sure. I didn't put all the pictures onto this page.

This is Titiwangsa Lake. The building with few pricking roofs is National Art Gallery. You can see flowers projected at the fountains. There will be laser and projection on fountains. Actually there is a ferris wheel beside, but it is not showed in this picture. They called it Eye on Malaysia, but the quality of view from this ferris wheel was disappointing ^^"

Today, bye bye to Yann in the morning :) Afternoon, I went to watch Speed Racer with Neko @ Midvalley. I'll say that this movie is for kid, but damn funny to see the kid n monkey in the show. Casts they had Rain played as Japanese. huh. In the end, this is a tired day.
